Document management on-the-go. Take the tools of LEAP’s legal document assembly wherever you go. Simply connect to the internet to access legal forms and create legal documents quickly and easily. Compile multiple documents into one PDF. Leap includes a loupe tool to allow for the viewing of extra files information. The program is a glimpse of how other file organisation tools may operate in years to come, but for the time being it is more of a curiosity than a serious replacement for Finder. What's New in Version 3.8. Fix a bug with double drags on Leap and Yep.

Leap for Mac is a combination Spotlight, Bridge, Finder, and more. The Finder on OS X is slow, cumbersome, and limited. The Finder search interface is very cumbersome. Leap shows you all your files and more importantly - where they are on your computer. No other tool does this. Works great for images and PDF's, too. Leap does not force you to put documents in a special place, it uses no databases. Just see what's on your hard drive.
With Leap for macOS you find things based on your natural memory of that file. “Hhmm it was a big photoshop file of a basketball court” or “Something I tagged important” or “A word document somewhere in my documents folder”. With the Finder though, it’s more like “I think it might be called bball.psd and that I put it in the originals folder in images in the Project 29 folder which I think I put in Documents… nope, not there… where did I put it?”
Folders and rigid hierarchies might have made sense back when we had hundreds of files, but we’re now swimming in images, files, movies and other data. That’s where tags come in. Tags are keywords that you assign to a file. This makes it extremely easy to find documents, regardless of their location. Why hunt through an arcane hierarchy of folders and files to find the document we want? Apple’s Finder first came out over 20 years ago and we think it’s time for a new approach to finding, organizing and browsing your most important documents.
Note: 10 days trial version. Requires 64-bit processor.
  1. Dropbox support. Leap now uses Dropbox if you have it to back up tags. Dropbox bookmark quickly allows you to search your Dropbox. Version 3.8.5: Yep and Leap both drag files out better, especially to Terminal, etc. Some small updates. OS X 10.8.2 or later, 64-bit processor. Screenshots Download Now.

The traditional folder structure used to house files is functional, but it not necessarily the best thought out way of organising files. When thinking about a file, you are more likely to remember details about some of its attributes rather than where it was stored - this is particularly true if you work with a large number of files, particularly files over a prolonged time frame.

By assigning tags to your files, it is possible to perform effective searches to track down files regardless of where they may be stored. Search results are displayed using scalable icons that allow for easy browsing.

Tags can be used in conjunction with folders to allow for the fine-tuning of searching with the idea being that even the most disorganised of hard drives can be brought to order.

Verdict:

New zealand online casinos. Leap takes a different approach to file organisation, and while it may appeal to some, for most it will just take too much getting used to.
